This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for Applydex Pro. It applies in addition to our Terms & Conditions.
1. Cancellation
You can cancel your Applydex Pro subscription at any time:
- Open the Applydex Chrome extension.
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will retain Pro access until that date, and you will not be charged again.
2. Refund Policy
Standard Policy — No Pro-Rated Refunds
Applydex Pro is billed monthly in advance. Once a billing cycle begins, we do not issue pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of that month. You retain full access to Pro features through the end of the paid period.
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (First Subscription Only)
If you subscribed to Applydex Pro for the first time and are not satisfied for any reason, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first charge — no questions asked. This guarantee applies only to a user's first-ever subscription on their account, and does not apply to renewals or re-subscriptions.
Exceptions — We Will Refund
We will issue a full refund (regardless of the 7-day window) if any of the following applies:
- You were charged due to a clear technical billing error on our side.
- The Service was unavailable for a significant portion of your billing period due to an outage on our infrastructure.
- You were charged after a successful cancellation (we will refund and investigate the cause).
- A charge on your payment method was unauthorised.
No Refunds
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind after the 7-day guarantee window.
- Partial months following cancellation.
- Failure to cancel before the next renewal.
- Inability to secure job interviews or offers (outcomes are never guaranteed).
- Misuse of the Service in violation of our Terms & Conditions.
3. How to Request a Refund
Email support@applydex.com with:
- The email address on your Applydex account.
- The date of the charge you want refunded.
- The reason for your request.
We aim to respond within 2 business days and to process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay.
4. Failed Payments
If a subscription renewal payment fails, Razorpay will automatically retry the charge per its standard dunning schedule. If payment continues to fail, your Pro access may be downgraded to the free tier until a successful payment is received. No refund is due for time lost to failed payments.
5. Price Changes
If we change subscription prices, you will receive at least 14 days' notice before the change affects your next renewal. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the renewal date.
6. Account Deletion
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email privacy@applydex.com. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.
