These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Applydex (the "Service"), operated by Applydex ("we", "us", "our"). By installing the Chrome extension, creating an account, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. The Service
Applydex is a Chrome extension that analyzes LinkedIn job postings for ghost-job indicators, compares postings to your resume, and generates tailored application materials. The Service is available to users 18 years of age or older.
2. Account & Authentication
You authenticate using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your Google account and for any activity that occurs under your Applydex account. You must not share your account credentials or use another person's account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate LinkedIn's Terms of Service or any other applicable law or regulation.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam, scrape data at scale, or automate job applications in a manner that violates any third-party platform's rules.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written permission.
- Upload or process content you do not have the rights to use (including resumes belonging to other people).
- Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without permission.
4. Subscription & Billing
The Service offers a paid Pro plan at USD $59 per month, billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis. Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from the Applydex extension → Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain Pro access until that date and are not charged again.
Prices may change over time. We will give at least 14 days' notice before any price change affects your next renewal. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the renewal date.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to analyze jobs and generate resumes, cover letters, and interview questions. AI output may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or outdated information. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing AI-generated content before submitting it to an employer. We make no guarantee of interview callbacks, job offers, employment outcomes, or the accuracy of any generated content.
7. Job Data Accuracy
Ghost-job risk scores and layoff data are estimates based on publicly available signals. They are informational only and do not constitute a definitive judgment about any employer. Decisions about applying to any job are yours alone, and we are not responsible for missed opportunities or any consequences arising from your reliance on our scores.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the extension, website, logo, design system, and all underlying code, is owned by Applydex and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
Content you upload (resumes, profile data) remains yours. By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with several third-party providers: Google (authentication), Anthropic (AI analysis), Supabase (database hosting), Railway (application hosting), and Razorpay (payment processing). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if the Service is discontinued. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@applydex.com.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that ghost-job scores are 100% accurate.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost job opportunities, lost wages, loss of goodwill, or any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Applydex, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
